HFBC provides in-home support for families that are expecting a child or have a child that hasn’t started kindergarten yet. Families get information and support to connect with community resources and learn about things they can do to make sure their young children have all that they need to be ready for kindergarten when the time comes.
Abilities Network’s Project ACT program can help with the following: on-site training for child care staff, individualized child observations and support planning, center wide coaching and mentoring to increase staff knowledge and skills, family support, resource and referral services, and access to individualized services to facilitate the optimal growth and development of children.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children provides healthy supplemental foods and nutrition counseling for income eligible pregnant, postpartum and breast-feeding women, as well as children under age five with medical or nutritional risk factors.
The Young Parent Support Center (YPSC) is a comprehensive family centered program for expectant parents or parents with children 0-3 years of age. The YPSC supports parents that are confronted with the challenge of balancing their youth with the responsibilities of parenthood. The center offers services to promote self-sufficiency through our Nurturing parenting skills classes, Health and Life skills classes, Family Planning, Adult Basic Education (GED) and an onsite child development for children to prepare them for pre-K.
